First Turkish Female Captain Pilot on Emirates’ A380
Gökçe Kübra Yıldırım, a Turkish pilot at Dubai-based airline Emirates, has announced her promotion to captain. Yıldırım has become the first Turkish female pilot to captain the A380.
In her post, Yıldırım shared:
“About 12 years ago, I started this journey, and today it has brought me to the captain’s seat. Every step, every challenge, every success has taught me so much. This profession is not just a job; it has become a part of my life. I want to thank everyone who has supported me and stood by me throughout this journey 🤍. I am now officially an Airbus 380 Captain ✈.”
She also added:
“Exciting news — I’ve officially upgraded to Captain! Grateful for the journey so far and the amazing people who’ve supported me along the way. Here’s to new challenges, endless skies, and the adventures ahead. Officially Captain of Airbus 380! ✈🛫”
